How to Buy a Car at eBay

Have you ever considered buying a car on eBay? It could well be the biggest purchase you ever make from the auction site, but there are bargains to be had there so you might want to think about it if you are in need of something new.

The place to go is eBay Motors. You’ll find this on the home page of eBay.com. The categories tab is on the far left, but next to that you will see the ‘motors’ tab. Click on that to go into the motors section.

As you will see when you get to this page, it looks a little different from the rest of the eBay site. It is designed to make things easier for you though, since it automatically comes up on the cars and trucks section. To get started, you need to answer a few questions to make the search process easier. If you have a particular make and model of car you want to find, select the make using the drop down box. When you do this the shaded model box will then appear unshaded, and you can select the model you want from that box. You can also pick from new and used models.

You’ll notice though that the first box automatically appears with the word ‘any’ in it. So if you don’t know which car you want to buy it’s not a problem because you can simply tap in your zip code to find out how many cars there are near to where you live.

But this isn’t the only way you can search for cars on eBay. The site also gives you a range of car types to choose from, such as an SUV. If you click on this (or any other car outline) you will be taken through to a page which gives you some basic info on that model, as well as a huge list of makes underneath. Simply choose the one you’re interested in and start looking.

You’ll also spot a list of the top five best selling cars in that category. This may help you if you aren’t sure what to buy and you want something that is already popular.

As you can see there is a lot to do on eBay to help you find your ideal car. The main thing is to take your time, so you can find the best car for your needs – and pay just the right price too.
